Web Apps and Web Endpoints
New Web Apps
Section titled “ Web Apps”PhyStack now supports web apps. These are browser experiences that run on a visitor’s own phone, such as companion remotes and QR handoffs from screens. No device is needed.
Web app installations get their own view in Console with four tabs: Overview, Web endpoints, Settings, and Builds.
New Web Endpoints
Section titled “ Web Endpoints”A web endpoint makes an installation reachable in a browser. Create one from the installation’s Web endpoints tab. Each endpoint gets a permanent public URL in the form w.phystack.com/{tenant}/{name}.
The installation needs a deployed build before you can create an endpoint. See configure and deploy an installation for how to build and deploy.
New Session Codes
Section titled “ Session Codes”Visitors join through single-use session codes. Use “Get session link” on an endpoint to copy a live link with a countdown. Opening it on any phone works the same as scanning a QR code.
Codes expire after 5 minutes by default. Sessions last 15 minutes of inactivity, with a 60 minute maximum. You can change these limits per endpoint.
New Screen Handoff
Section titled “ Screen Handoff”Screen apps can display a rotating QR code that hands visitors off to a web app. Operators set this up by picking the web endpoint’s twin in the screen app’s installation settings.
Sessions only see the data the installation’s settings grant them. Access is scoped per endpoint. Deploying a new build updates every endpoint of that installation automatically.
