Multi-Level Tenant Hierarchies

New Multi-Level Managed Tenants

Section titled “ Multi-Level Managed Tenants”

Managed tenant structures are no longer limited to one level. A managed tenant can now manage tenants of its own, so partners can model their full customer structure at any depth:

  • Users and roles granted on a parent tenant apply across every tenant below it, not just direct children
  • Usage anywhere in the structure is billed through the paying tenant at the top, on that tenant’s plan and terms
  • Tenant lists and dashboards in Console reflect the full structure

Sign-in Fixes & Analytics Improvements

Device Monitoring Accuracy & Fleet Reliability

Improved Device Status & Alerts

Device status reporting is now transition-based, which makes both the monitoring UI and alerting considerably more accurate:

  • Devices that periodically re-send an unchanged status no longer trigger repeated alert notifications
  • The status card shows when the device last reported, alongside the last real status change
  • Status history charts carry the held status across the whole period instead of rendering gaps for devices that only report changes
  • Status history charts now cover wide date windows on large device fleets, with correct pagination totals
  • Monitoring dashboard fixes: correct status-history timestamps across all scopes, restored CSV byte formatting, and readable chart tooltips

Improved Connectivity & Fleet Reliability

  • Improved recovery of device, app, and peripheral status after brief network interruptions

Improved Peripherals

  • Improved hardware identifier handling: reconnecting the same physical unit through a different Device keeps its settings and references
  • Improved search across devices, peripherals, and cloud instances

Fix Accounts

  • Partner-invoiced tenants no longer see an incorrect “Payment method required” block under certain conditions when installing paid marketplace apps

Peripheral Management in the Console

New Peripheral Management

Section titled “ Peripheral Management”

This release brings a round of improvements to how you work with peripherals (printers, scanners, cameras, lights, doors) in the Console:

  • General improvements to the peripheral list, details, and settings pages
  • Invoke actions directly from the peripheral page: pick an action, fill in a form generated from the peripheral’s schema, run it, and see the result
  • Peripheral settings are validated on save, and identity fields are protected from accidental edits

Improved Analytics & Exports

Section titled “ Analytics & Exports”
  • Real-time device status CSV exports resolve device names for every row, keep timestamps stable across date windows, and export in ISO format
  • Column sorting on analytics tables is back and now sorts the full result set, not just the visible page

Improved Console Navigation

Section titled “ Console Navigation”
  • Breadcrumb navigation on Device, Peripheral, and Space pages keeps you oriented in your space hierarchy
  • The Since timestamp on the device status card no longer resets when a device re-sends an unchanged status

Fix Console

  • Opening the user administration page no longer shows an error for some users
  • Filter search no longer shows stale placeholder rows

Bulk Space Creation & Spaces Improvements

New Bulk Space Creation

Creating floors, sections, or custom spaces one at a time is over. When you pick a bulk-eligible space type in the create form, a new Create multiple option appears:

  • Enter a prefix and an amount (up to 50 per batch) and see a live preview of the names before you commit
  • Numbering continues automatically from your highest existing space, so adding 10 sections to a space that ends at Section 12 creates Section 13–Section 22
  • After creation you land on the parent space with the new spaces highlighted in the sidebar

Improved Spaces Navigation & Search

  • Spaces now sort naturally everywhere, so “Section 2” comes before “Section 10”
  • Sidebar search covers your entire space tree, matching name, external ID, city, and address
  • Space lists and the map load significantly faster on large tenants
  • Breadcrumbs in the space detail header keep you oriented as you move around the hierarchy

Fix Console

  • Detaching a space from its parent now works correctly when selecting No parent
  • Managed tenants are accessible immediately after creation
  • New list items in Settings append at the end instead of reordering

PhyStack CLI, Session Management & Platform Improvements

Updated PhyStack CLI

New Session Management

View and manage your active sessions across devices. A new Sessions page is accessible from the user menu in Console, showing where you are currently logged in and allowing you to revoke sessions.

New Descriptor Registry & Peripherals

The 2026-03 API now includes a descriptor registry for managing application descriptors, peripheral relocation, configuration overrides, and media management.

Improved Console Performance & Reliability

A comprehensive update across the entire Console application. Pages load faster and navigation is more responsive.

  • Faster initial load and page transitions
  • Reduced memory usage during extended sessions

Get Data: Full CSV Exports and API Access

New Get Data Menu

Analytics breakdown cards (for example, breakdowns by Space or by device) now have a Get data menu in the card header with two options:

  • Download CSV — exports the full table for the card, no matter how big.
  • Via API — opens an API access dialog with copy-ready code snippets in curl, TypeScript, Python, and Rust, pre-filled with your card and date range, plus a link to the full API reference.

Download a Whole Dashboard as Excel

The Download Excel button at the top of each analytics page now produces a single Excel file with one tab per card, so you can take an entire dashboard offline in one click.

New Tenant Switcher

Switch Tenants from Anywhere

A redesigned Switch Tenant modal replaces the old dropdown. Open it from the tenant menu in the header — or from anywhere in the Console with Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows).

Search, Recents, and Sub-tenants

  • Search as you type across every tenant you have access to
  • Recents — the last 4 tenants you visited are pinned at the top
  • Sub-tenants show a clickable parent breadcrumb so it’s clear where each one sits in the hierarchy
  • Press Enter to jump straight to the first match

Timezone Sync, Billing Updates & Console Fixes

Space Timezone Propagation

Changing a space’s timezone now automatically updates all its devices, keeping everything in sync.

  • Support for monitoring specific event properties with wildcard matching

We’ve added a new Bulk Provision feature to the Console. This allows you to provision multiple devices to an installation in one go.

Samsung Tizen TVs are an officially supported platform that works great with the Content Player app. Learn how to connect a Tizen 7.0, 6.5, or 4.0 device to your installation.

PhyOS

Device documentation has been updated with guides to help you install PhyOS, and to connect newly created PhyOS devices to the internet.

Improved Settings Form Handling During Installation

We’ve rolled out an update to Console that improves how form validation is handled during the installation setup process. Based on recent feedback, we’ve made a couple of key changes to reduce confusion and improve clarity:

  • Required media fields now display a visible error state
  • A summary list of all form errors is shown at the top of the page

These enhancements aim to make setup smoother and help users resolve issues faster.

We’ve rolled out a major update across the entire platform, making the Console and your devices faster and smoother to work with.

What’s changed

  • Core platform rebuilt: We’ve modernized the foundation of our system to make everything faster, more reliable, and easier to scale.

  • PhyHub & PhyOS: Upgrades to PhyHub and PhyOS bring improved performance across the board.

  • You’ll spot a few subtle upgrades like a new font and support for dark mode. Small details that make the platform feel smoother and more refined.

    • Improved associated documentation and guidance materials.

Improved Tab Label Consistency in Installation Settings

Fix: We have updated tab labels in the installation settings to ensure consistency across Edge Apps and Screen Apps. Previously, the same settings page had inconsistent names, which could cause confusion. The new labels more accurately reflect the content of each tab:

  • Content/Configuration → Settings
  • Settings → Configuration

Introducing PhyHub: A Better Way to Manage Devices

We are excited to introduce PhyHub, a new foundational device management service.

  • Publicly available now: PhyHub is available to all tenants, and over time all devices should be migrated to PhyHub and PhyOS. Learn how to update devices over the air using the CLI
  • New Device Management:
    • PhyHub devices now appear under the Devices page in the console.
    • Non-PhyHub devices have been moved to a Legacy Devices page.
  • All existing device and console functionalities remain.
  • Other changes
    • Fix: Bug related to tenants with high count of environments
    • Fix: Minor bugs related to developers Console pages
    • Fix: Analytics layout bug
    • New: Simplified firewall configuration of restricted network for PhyOS devices
